Mail Server Restored

For anyone who has tried to register with the forum and not gotten a confirmation e-mail, it seems the mail server has been stopped for a while. Today I discovered the problem and started the server backup.  Everyone who tried to register should get your confirmation e-mail today.

Moving Blog to New Server.

Well, I’m in the progress of moving the blog to a new server. This means that at the moment all comments are disabled (by requiring login). Should be back up soon.

New Server and end of Firefox Preloader

I know it has been a long time since I’ve updated Glasser. This has been compounded by loosing access to my server because of a bad update that killed SSH, but also work and getting a new server set up has slowed it.

I will admit that Firefox Preloader is kind of pointless to maintain now, there is just little need for it anymore. I will release a fix for Glasser soon, but only for 32-bit Firefox, before Thanksgiving. I hope to have my new server up next year.

Dead Server

For anyone who has been waiting for any updates for my Firefox stuff, it won’t be happening for a while. My webserver is botched and I am trying to move to a new host. In the mean time, everything is still downloadable.

Secure Registration and Login Fixed

If anyone has tried registering on the forums lately and was presented with a security warning, the issue is now fixed. Seems I didn’t read the manual as good as I thought I did :-)

A New Site… Again.

Well, I have moved hosts to one with more features and now I’m setting up a new blog so to say.  It still uses all the old data so the old posts will remain but many new features are to come.  Of those, I will now start hosting my software projects directly from my site.  This includes any that I’ve hosted from SourceForge in the past that I plan to continue.

I will also be adding a forum for support requests for my projects soon, but I haven’t selected the software yet or anything.  This will be where I will probably check more for bugs and feature requests and the such.

I have plans for many other features too so keep a look out.

Window Live Writer

Some of Microsoft’s Window Live applications seems to be redundant for Vista, but some really seem kind of cool.  Take for instance Window Live Writer.  I’ve seen similar functionality in Flock, and other dedicated applications, but I really like Live Writer, just feels better.  This is actually my first post using it and I may continue using it for future posts.

It support most of the popular blogging software packages and of course Microsoft’s own Spaces. The look and feel really are much better than using the WordPress editor, and the application is definitely more responsive than any JavaScript based interface. (Except Firefox’s engine which powers it’s chrome)

New Blog!!!

I have not moved my blog back to my old webserver using b2evolution blog software. This now lets me maintain my own look an feel my blog (as soon as I come up with one). All my MSN Spaces blog entries and comments have been moved to to this softare and are complete.
